Giselle smirked at Camille.

Helena Lancaster felt genuine pride for her daughter.

Camille, as always, didn't even glance their way.

She quietly sipped her tea, fading into the background while Hugh Dunmore and Everett Mercer conversed.

Seeing Selene receive admiration from industry experts finally gave Everett a sense of satisfaction.

Just then, Graham Bennett messaged Selene again.

NovaSight Labs is truly groundbreaking. Not only does it have Gabriel Ashcroft as founder, but his engineers are exceptionally innovative.

I plan to visit again soon for deeper discussions with Gabriel and his team.

The AITR journal's double-blind review process meant Graham still didn't know who wrote the paper that impressed him so much.

Selene assumed he regretted not speaking more with Gabriel during their last meeting.

As she began typing a comforting reply, Hugh turned to his student. "Couldn't wait to read the paper, could you?"

"Absolutely!" The student's eyes shone with excitement. "This paper improves large model processing efficiency tenfold! Engineers worldwide are studying it overnight."

"It's making international waves and trending in Lucerne. What's more - it's from NovaSight Labs's team!"

Selene froze mid-typing. Slowly, she looked up at Gabriel.

Every eye in the room turned toward him.

Helena and the Lancaster family frowned at the news.

Such an impressive achievement coming from Gabriel's team?

Though given his capabilities, this wasn't surprising.

But knowing he supported Camille - effectively opposing their family - left a bitter taste.

Worse still, the very paper Selene's advisor praised came from Gabriel's team. The irony stung.

Hugh, however, beamed with genuine pleasure.

"Mr. Ashcroft," he said warmly, "leading your team to such results again. Congratulations!"

Gabriel simply smiled. "You flatter me, Professor Dunmore. I wasn't the first author."

"This breakthrough wasn't my doing. I merely assisted with minor technical details."

"Just the details?" The student checked his phone's author list. True enough, Gabriel wasn't first author.

Instead, it read: Camille Hartwell. Not only first author - but corresponding author too.

Gabriel ranked second.

The following authors were all NovaSight Labs engineers.

Hugh squinted at the name. "First author is Hartwell?"

Selene, Everett, Arlo Calloway, and the Lancasters froze.

The paper came from NovaSight Labs. Camille worked at NovaSight Labs.

Could it be...?

Impossible.

Not her.

Then Gabriel spoke calmly. "Yes. Camille Hartwell."
