After Chloe left, Camille went upstairs, powered up her laptop, and began working.

An hour later, Lucas sent over some documents for her review.

Camille opened them immediately. The first thing that caught her attention were three newly listed properties, their locations clearly marked.

She froze when she saw the details.

All three were vacant units in the Harrington family's residential compound, positioned remarkably close to Damien's mansion.

Truth be told, though Damien had previously purchased the house opposite his for her, that alone hadn't completely eased her worries.

Helena Lancaster loved her daily walks. Even if the Hartwell family no longer lived across the street, being in the same neighborhood meant inevitable encounters.

The agreement was signed swiftly, and the funds appeared in her account moments later.

Regarding the properties, Damien's lawyer mentioned the transfer was processing. The deeds would be delivered within days.

By the time everything was settled, morning had faded into afternoon.

With Helena Harrington recently undergoing surgery, Marianne worried she might feel lonely and decided to visit the hospital.

Camille joined her.

Starting Monday, she'd be buried in work with little time for hospital visits.

At the hospital, Camille spotted Selene again.

Selene's presence meant Damien was inside.

Helena, however, brightened immediately. She grasped Marianne's hand. "You shouldn't trouble yourself to visit me, dear friend."

"After all these years, don't speak such nonsense."

As they settled in, both women noticed Helena's improved condition - better color, brighter eyes, more energy.
