Damien didn't leave the hospital that night.

By morning, Lydia and Selene Harrington, along with other relatives, returned to visit Helena.

When they learned Damien had stayed all night, they insisted he go home to rest.

Damien told Helena, "I'll come back tonight."

Helena remained silent.

After leaving the hospital, Damien made a phone call.

Within an hour, the Lancasters and their allies received notice of their removal from the project team.

They immediately contacted Selene Lancaster.

Selene said, "It was Madam Harrington's decision. She had a difficult night."

The Lancasters hadn't anticipated this development.

Quentin asked, "Does this mean Madam Harrington demanded you break up with Damien and prevent his divorce from Camille?"

Selene pressed her lips together tightly.

After brief discussion, she ended the call.

A knock interrupted her thoughts. "Ms. Lancaster, the meeting is starting."

"Understood."

Selene set down her phone and headed toward the conference room. On her way, she spotted Camille Hartwell discussing work with Wesley Caldwell.

She knew the collaboration between NovaSight Labs and Vertex Dynamics continued, requiring periodic system maintenance visits.

But she hadn't expected to encounter Camille at Vertex Dynamics today.

Camille sensed someone watching her. Turning, she met Selene's gaze briefly before looking away without hesitation.

Around 10:00 am, Camille visited the restroom.

Emerging, she found Damien waiting by the wall.

Without pausing, she moved to walk past when Damien spoke. "Grandmother fell last night. She fractured her femur and needs bone cement."

Camille froze, turning to face him.

Damien provided the hospital name and room number. "She'd like to see you."

Camille remained silent.

At that moment, Selene exited the restroom.

Seeing Damien, Selene's surprise was evident. She hadn't expected him here - talking to Camille.

She stopped, lips pressed together.

Camille ignored them both, returning to the restroom.

When she emerged again, both had disappeared.

Camille resumed work.

By 11:00 am, maintenance complete, Camille and her NovaSight Labs team departed.

At lunch, Camille told Marianne about Helena's fall.

Marianne gasped. "We'll visit tonight."

Regardless of Camille's situation with Damien, Helena had helped the Hartwells during their darkest days.

Without Helena's assistance, the Hartwells wouldn't be where they were today.

Marianne would never forget that kindness.

Camille nodded. "Alright."

That afternoon, Camille left work early. After dinner at home, she accompanied Marianne to the orthopedic hospital.
