Chapter 437: Derek Slowly Began to Believe Her Scheme Was Possible

Vanessa watched as Derek slowly began to believe her scheme was possible. A subtle smile touched her lips.

“Derek, it’s just paperwork—no ceremony, no announcements. We can draft a separate agreement stating the instant Sienna agrees to marry you, we divorce immediately. Until she accepts you, we play our parts. I get my reputation restored. You get the Bennett shares. It’s a win for you.”

She spoke with confidence, but cunning simmered behind her calm expression. Once married to Derek, her reputation would be salvaged. She would become the dazzling Mrs. Prescott! Moreover, once Derek acquired Sophia and Penelope’s fifteen percent, the rest of the Bennett family would hold no power. They would be left with nothing! So what if Sienna revealed her true identity then? So what if Sienna returned to the family?

What’s the point in that?” She wanted the entire Bennett family to collapse. She wanted it beyond saving, even with Sienna’s money! The Bennetts looked down on her? Soon, they would understand true despair! Instead of running, she would become Mrs. Prescott. She would watch Sienna return to a ruined family…a family under Derek’s control! Derek studied her. The door burst open. A cool-looking boy with blond hair stood in the doorway. “Brother, don’t believe her! She’s lying! I heard her on the phone in the stairwell! She said she has no cash and needs to use someone! She said once the share price rises, her stocks will be worth more! She talked about the Bennetts buying back her shares, Sienna wanting them—even you would want them! Then she could sell high and watch you all fight! She plans to use the shares to force you to stay married! She wants to get pregnant with your child to trap you with sympathy!”

What? Derek’s face darkened. His gaze turned icy as he glared at Vanessa. How calculating could she be?! Vanessa shook her head frantically. “Derek, don’t listen to him! I’m not like that! Why would I do that? Someone must have sent him to ruin our deal! You can’t trust a child!” She jumped up and moved toward the boy.
