Five Years Gone, She Returned a Billionaire
Chapter 356: Who Would Have Guessed That Margaret Prescott Was Also
Who would have guessed that Margaret Prescott was also a devoted fan of the Jules skincare line? Vanessa Bennett’s eyes narrowed sharply.
“One more task,” she said coldly. “Get me the formulas for Jules. I don’t care what it takes.”
If customers were buying the products, all Vanessa needed was one authentic Jules item. She could have it analyzed in a lab, reverse-engineered, and reproduced. Rex gave a firm nod. “Understood, Madam.” After leaving the village, Derek Prescott summoned his assistant.
“From today onward, send fresh flowers and breakfast to Sienna Bennett every morning.
And you are no longer authorized to manage my social media accounts.” It had been Noah sending those messages to Sienna all along. No wonder she thought his efforts were hollow. Sienna wasn’t the same woman she was five years ago. She couldn’t be easily deceived anymore. Derek knew he had to step up his game. Somehow, he found himself caring more about winning her back. His mind was set on a single objective: he must reclaim her heart.
The next morning, the doorbell rang at Sienna’s home.
Lucas Harrington woke instantly. Seeing Sienna still asleep, he slipped quietly out of bed. He descended the stairs and opened the front door. No one was there—only a elegant box sat on the doorstep.
A purple card rested on top, bearing three words:
[Remorse. Regret. Redemption.]
Inside was a carefully prepared breakfast set.
Lucas’s expression darkened. Derek. So he was finally making a real effort to pursue Sienna. His gaze turned icy. “Deliver this to Vanessa Bennett,” he instructed the bodyguards waiting in the shadows. One of them hesitated. “Sir?” Derek had sent this for Sienna, but Lucas wanted it redirected to Vanessa? They felt Lucas’s intense stare and immediately complied, taking the box without another word. As Lucas closed the door, he noticed Noah Harrington standing on the staircase, already awake. Lucas frowned and spoke in a low voice. “This stays between us.”
“Don’t worry, Daddy! I won’t tell Mommy!” Noah chirped, fully cooperative.
“This is the perfect way to deal with that jerk’s gifts!”
Sending a gift meant for Sienna directly to her rival? It was downright hilarious. He could only imagine how furious Vanessa would be when she received it. What would she even do with the breakfast? And how would Derek react when he found out? An idea sparked in Noah’s mind. He hurried over to Lucas. “Daddy, look! We have to handle this too!” He held up Sienna’s phone.
Derek had already sent several messages:
[Sienna, whether you believe me or not, I truly regret everything.]
[No matter how deeply I hurt you five years ago, I will love you even more fiercely now.]
[Be with me. I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.]
[I can help you put Rex Walker behind bars. But not Vanessa.]
[I don’t love her anymore. But she grew up with us. She’s your sister, which makes her family to me too. I won’t harm her, but I won’t love her either.]
[Sienna, give me one last chance. No one will ever love you the way I do.]
Lucas’s eyes turned cold as he read. With a few quick taps, he deleted all the unread messages. Then he installed a stealth program on the device. From now on, every message from Derek would be automatically erased—without a trace. Derek would never know. Sienna would never see them. Noah bounced with glee. “Daddy, you’re amazing! So clever!” But Lucas’s gaze remained sharp and unsatisfied. This was only the beginning.
