Five Years Gone, She Returned a Billionaire
Chapter 314: The Sharp Command Cut Through the Tension
“What are you waiting for? Take him down!”
The sharp command cut through the tension. Aurora and Giselle spun around to see Sienna Bennett watching them from a short distance. Her voice snapped them into action. Giselle immediately sliced through the ropes binding Aurora with the dagger. Grant Mercer writhed on the floor in agony. He struggled to rise and retaliate, but Giselle delivered a brutal kick to his backside.
“That’s for me! Seven years of marriage wasted on your lies!”
“Argh!” Grant crashed back onto the concrete.
Giselle then aimed a fierce kick at his face. “And that’s for my daughter! You robbed her of a father and broke her heart!”
“Stop! I’ll kill you both!” Grant roared, yanking the dart from his arm and lunging at Giselle.
Her reflexes were too slow. The dart tip hovered inches from her throat. Aurora tackled him, sinking her teeth deep into his hand. “Run!” she muffled through clenched teeth.
“You’re dead!” Grant raised the dart toward Aurora’s skull.
A surge of adrenaline empowered Giselle. She drove her knee straight into his groin. A deafening scream echoed through the space. Grant collapsed, curling into a fetal position. Veins bulged across his forehead. The women exchanged a fiery glance. They unleashed a synchronized barrage of kicks.
“Filthy cheater! Disgusting pig! Die!”
Every strike released years of pent-up fury. Each impact symbolized their wasted sacrifices. This was their closure. Grant’s cries faded as he lost consciousness. Sienna observed from the shadows, a satisfied smile touching her lips. This was how women should reclaim their power. Cheaters deserved nothing less. She summoned Miles Reed and Penelope Sinclair to handle the cleanup. Grant was dragged away. Penelope would escort both women home. Under the building’s harsh lights, Aurora approached Sienna. “Thank you, Ms. Bennett. But I won’t be returning to the company tonight. Giselle and I need time together.”
Sienna nodded. “Take the night. Remember, the event starts at ten tomorrow morning.”
“I won’t let you down,” Aurora promised.
As she turned to leave, Aurora paused. “Ms. Bennett…your hair…there’s a patch missing…” Giselle’s eyes widened as she stared at Lucas Harrington’s trousers. “Mr. Harrington…your zipper…” A clump of hair was tangled in the metal teeth. Only one explanation existed. Sienna’s cheeks flushed crimson.
