Derek’s vision turned crimson in that moment. He was Sienna’s man. Why was an outsider like Lucas pursuing her? He rose to his feet, ready to chase after her. Henry Bennett’s voice cut through the air like ice. “Stay where you are, Derek! I forbid you from ever seeing my granddaughter again. If you disobey, I will never forgive you!” Margaret Prescott interjected sharply. “Henry, what are you saying? We’ve already disciplined Derek for his mistakes. He’s been beaten and scolded. Isn’t that sufficient?”

Henry’s gaze was frigid. “If I demanded a Bennett man sleep with two of your granddaughters, would you accept that? Do not take advantage of us and then cry for fairness!

“Our business partnership may continue, but my granddaughters will have no further contact with the Prescott family!” His words were final and unyielding.

He turned and strode away without looking back. Philip Bennett and Helena Bennett followed closely behind him. They had initially hoped to contain the scandal’s damage. They wanted Sienna to proceed with the ceremony and marry Derek. But after Lucas Harrington’s intervention, their fears vanished. Derek was the source of all this chaos. He was first involved with Vanessa. Then he changed his mind and pursued Sienna. When the Bennett family finally agreed, he was caught in bed with Vanessa on his wedding day! He destroyed the reputations of two Bennett women in one blow.

If not for the business ties between the families, Walter Carlisle would have beaten Derek senseless. With the Bennett family gone, the Prescotts were left to handle the messy aftermath.

“Damn it!” Margaret hissed under her breath. “What’s their problem? They’re just two women with ruined reputations anyway! Who cares!”

“Shut up!” Derek snapped at her.

Victor Prescott kicked his son hard. “You disgraceful boy! Now you’re talking back to your mother? If it weren’t for your actions today, we would be wealthy beyond measure! We wouldn’t be stuck here cleaning up this mess! I should have let your older brothers take over the business. I never should have entrusted it to you!” Derek’s face darkened at his father’s words. He had always been the least favored son in the family. His parents had wanted a daughter after two sons. His birth as another boy was a profound disappointment.

His unpleasant personality made things worse. He was not as intelligent as his older brothers. He was constantly overlooked. Among the Prescott sons, he faced unfair treatment his brothers never experienced. For years, he worked ten times harder than anyone to build his reputation. Even after learning Vanessa’s true identity, he collaborated with her to seize Bennett assets. He did everything to secure his position. Yet, Vanessa brought him nothing but disgrace today. Sienna would not even look at him. The elders berated him endlessly! Margaret noticed the hatred brewing inside him.

She quickly tried to soothe him. “Alright, alright, it’s not the end of the world. Derek, just find a way to sweet-talk her and win her back. She’s a woman. Women love sweet words and gifts. She’s just angry right now. And never get caught with this Vanessa again. Her shares are negligible. Her wealth is nothing compared to Sienna’s.”

“I know what I’m doing,” Derek snapped.

He stormed out furiously. Did Sienna even respond to sweet talk? Could he ever win her back? Recalling her words earlier, he knew the odds were against him. But he had her in his grasp. How could he let her go so easily? The diamond mine should be his. Sienna should be his too! Did Lucas think he could have her? No chance! Derek possessed things that could destroy Sienna completely!

Meanwhile, Sienna exited the hotel through the VIP passage.

She got into Evelyn’s car. Evelyn had not been particularly impressed with Sienna initially. But she did not expect to witness such a thrilling spectacle. She was unsure if Sienna had planned it all. But it was enough to improve her opinion of Sienna. When they arrived at the mansion, Evelyn opened the door for her.

“Mr. Harrington asked you to wait for him here. Do not go anywhere.”

“Okay.” Sienna had no intention of leaving.

She entered the mansion and immediately changed out of her wedding gown.
